Oh how destructive is the news
booming with horrific views
of people we dread
and tales of the dead.
Never the golden story
of human natures glory.

Falling ill from the sorrow
knowing nil hope of morrow
I offer only great distance
to spare my secure existence.
Forever I will turn away
and let the world be in dismay.

I know, I hate to turn on the tv or radio anymore when all there is is negative news.
