you met me close to heaven upstairs there
at that marriot with the morning behind us
and your woman whiskey was being served
at room temperature, maybe slightly warmer

your eyes spoke an unexpected language
but I recognized the sounds and music
and how your words fit around me in places
as my glances fit your skin like sins

you mentioned my tattoos tasted sweeter
then you had imagined that they would
and you were curious now how I would look
if everywhere you wanted to kiss had ink

and then you blushed at your own boldness
but watched in the mirror as I took advantage
and kept your woman skin thoroughly read
as if each pore was a word or sound or sigh

and the book of you was still being written

A winner as usual.  The third stanza is a standout.

Well now, I can't speak to whether or not it is fiction..seems to have a some strong mages that you have drawn on, so I'm thinking there may be as with all good fiction a basis for truth somewhere in there... (chuckling) experience is a great thing...and the mind, when it is as sharp and creative as yours certainly can paint quite the picture....
Enjoyed Sir..as always.

it was the scribble notes
on the back of her neck,
each one a page
written in a private language,
that blurred the line
between dream and logic;
unraveling the Sande fabric
of her dual existence.

Sounds like the Marriott has a great 'happy hour'.....

I like how her book isn't finished yet..
and glad that you had a chapter to fulfill.

Interesting stuff, this...
