There was this guy named Balladeer,
Fell out of bed onto his rear
Two left arms and two left feet,
Just to walk was quite a feat.

Each step he'd take he'd almost fall,
Out of bed and down the hall.
Accidents you won't believe
Balladeer has had you'll see.

Now you may laugh at the thought
But he fell in and he fell off,
Anything that's short or tall
He'd find a way to slip or fall.

One day in spring he fell again
In love with clumsy Alison,
Her two left arms and two left feet
Balladeer thought was sweet.

Of course you know this little fling
Turned into marriage the next spring
They confessed their love and said "I do"
While falling down a time or two.

They honeymooned in sunny Spain
Bruises, bumps and minor sprains
But a love that was forever
Having accidents together.

They knew their love would always last
With bruises, cuts and matching casts
Nights of passion, sweet romance
Getting home by ambulance

Then one day their world would end,
Would break the hearts of strongest men,
They both were fell on by a horse,
It was an accident of course.

Life is short-you never know
But that's the way they'd want to go,
A crazy end that's kind of neat,
The horse you see had four left feet.

(I found a poem in one of my dads journals, he wrote poetry and stories and always kept things he'd read or enjoyed, I toeragged this  alot just for Balladeer and Alison)....

A funny and enjoyable (to read) piece. Good luck to the so besmitten.

As an aside, I sadly could not help but think of Maurice and Katya Kraft (sp?), the vulcanologist couple who shared so many dangerous expeditions and became minor celebrities, and who were killed "with their boots on" (R.I.P.) during an eruption of Mt. Onsen in Japan several years ago. Strange tangents that words written in jest can strike!
