it is still those dove sounds distant
and yours more closely offered in indigo
as if that room were some heaven edge
and we had some sin to burn before entering

and that leather coat you wore long
knowing my eyes had removed it early on
and everything else you wore special
to keep the wanting from giving you chills

you said once was always plenty, mostly
I suspected you were afraid of confusion
and how if you let your wings fully open
you would never stop that kind of flying

or being pinned to the wall with sigh songs

in the birthing of that magical time
his words pierced the shell of predetermined
releasing the ache of what if
that demanded the sacrifice
of her carefully cultivated way of seeing.
Leaving Prince on the radio to sing
'this is what it sounds like when doves cry.'

Liked this composition. An excellent and original take on Day Tripper, among other things.

Sometimes I'm astounded by your insights. Often I find it difficult to put words to a moment. Enjoyed this..

You know of the joys of open wings and of soaring without fear. You say it in such a captivating way, dear D.

Your succulent words of seduction are addicting Dark~
