I crawled down your skin:
a hush voice shiver on your spine
unafraid to taste with wanting tongue, something new
because I knew the flavor would be romance

we were love that night
exploding into thousands of colors to light your eyes
making midnight seem the brightest hour of a new day
we each burned with heat only the other could calm
with cool fingers painting designs of sigh on our skin

I blew hot breath and spoke with gentle words
and you made happy-feeling woman groans
that vibrated your skin drum chest beating rhythmically
with cold night desire awaiting satiation

your hair stuck to your face with sweat
more mine than yours, but ours nonetheless
and your arch back gasp made room for hands to hold on
hold on to this without ever letting go.
