Balladeer and his wife
Made a little plan.
When they decided to make love,
They had a 'cue' they'd understand

They used the word "typewriter"
Then the kids would never know,
When Balladeer wanted 'some'
That was the only word he spoke

He sent his daughter to his wife,
said, "Honey go tell your mom,
I need to type a letter right now
Now hurry up-go on."

She went to tell her mother,
What Balladeer had said,
Her mom replied, "Go tell him NO,
Right now the ribbon is red."

Later on that very same day,
His wife told his little daughter,
"Go tell your dad that if he wants,
He now can 'type' that letter."

Balladeer said that it's too late,
That he'd made other plans,
Since the typewriter wasn't working
He wrote the letter out BY HAND.

OMG!  It figures you would be the one to start my day with a laugh!

I can't imagine how he can respond to this one.

LOL! Oh how I'd hate to be the stamp on that envelope.

Well, it seemed like a "novel" idea at the time. That's what happens when you have a wife who is a" hunt 'n pecker".

The next week Balladeer`s dear wife
was feeling so much better-
she tried to use the `typewriter`
and found he would not letter.
.
They made amends the next night, and
then had a very close talk-
"My dear", she said, " I`m glad, at least
you`ve never had writer`s block!"
.
Oh dear, I hope I wasn`t too bawdy~!  :O lol
.
Hilarious stuff, guys!

Great post Toerag, I think Balladeer might

be a bit of a dark dark horse but good luck to him.

Great stuff, Amaryllis! Not too bawdy at all..and very clever

No writer's block here and, unlike Toerag, I don't use shorthand!

No, he doesn't use shorthand, but he types very fast and types out "V.I.A.G.R.A." all the time. Not only that, he thinks his typewriter is pregnant, it keeps missing periods. And, it's the biblical way of typing, "Seek and ye shall find"

Amaryllis-very clever reply gal, you are a nut too.
