Sing sweetly with the angels above.
Sing sweetly songs of love.

Lena dear Lena.
Lie peacefully in the Lord's arms.
The world has lost a great singer.
So full of beauty, grace, and charm.

Lena dear Lena.
Float lightly on the angels' wings.
Lena dear Lena.
In the heavens always sing, sing, sing.

Yes, Lena Horne will be missed. This poem pays tribute to her.

An awesome and powerful singer with real talent. God broke the mold after Lena, because they just don't make them like that anymore. This was a nice tribute.

oh my, this was beautiful...when I was little, friends of mine took me to see her, what a tremendous voice and legacy she wrote...thank you for this tribute...

she will sorely be missed....
