I could walk
with you

down memory lane

But your path
and mine

are not the same

Even when
we walked together

But please
walk on

and I will follow

the dusty paths
in which you wallow

The trail mix
shared
is hard
to swallow

when taken
all together

Places
where you
withstood a test

are those
in which
my soul found rest

I sauntered along
all through your Quest

as we walked

along

together

I gathered different
than that which
you've gleaned

What you see
of what was seen

holds definitions
that only mean

we never
walked together

The maps you've drawn
are not the same
as those fate chose
to bear my name

You needed the wild
that I needed to tame

when we walked

alone

together

Very nicely written, my friend...and thank God for difference, if we were all the same we'd always be together by never alone, and that uniqueness is what draws us to another.

Very well constructed...

This is great writing, Larry. Wish I could find some of the inspiration you have found lately.

I've been sober for 66 years, Larry. So maybe I should get drunk and see what happens. hmmmm.

Larry, one of your best. Says a lot and makes a person think. Even with a family of six children I often tell them they each lived in a different family because each saw and perceived things so differently.latearrival
