Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2010-04-25 12:09 PM

I found your love today,
hidden in an old, worn coat,
stuck down deep in my pocket,
there it was, a small note,

Something simple,
something silly,
your handwritting,
my gentle fingers,

touched it softly,
smelling it,
I remembered
that night,
just you and I,

Sitting ontop of green blankets,
star lights strung across night sky,
twinkling in our love crossed eyes,
suddenly like a fallen star,

You kissed me, I cried,
you collected my tears,
they fell inside your hands,
you sprinkled the earth,

watering it with our love,
this little note a scribbled poem,
few are the words, magic,
they will remain forever in my heart!

I opened the note, you were there,
for that moment it was like the first time,
that I had read it, I smiled ear to ear,
but my eyes still cried, for I miss you so!

Will my words stick like glue to your heart? it is the paste that keeps us together~

This is a touching telling poem of the pathos of love-- and the remnants of it that linger on in our heart and life.

Well done!

I thank the LORD everyday
He has given me something to say
And to share with others,
My Friends, my sisters, my brothers!

To God Be the Glory!

Romantic Heart - Amazing it is how a smell makes us recall old moments, a taste recalls yesterdays' banquets and the feel of a piece of paper erupts to the mind an old love. Only the romantic heart of a poet's pen can remind us so well. I enjoyed this muchly RH. Namyh
