Oh you,
you who allude me
somewhere out there
stalking in the dark

distant, but still watching over me

or perhaps, it's just the last remnant
of some fantasy

of someone whom I thought used to love me

or she whom I have not met
my guiding star
I must be wherever you are
but in truth you must be
where ever I am

and then there's the thought
that there is no one for me

I just drift from place to place
face to face
on a mission
for those who need me

and I milk their love,
their friendship
for the time that I have
moving on, moving on

and yet now,
now, I wait
wait for the next gust of wind

to fill my sail
a gentle nudge
to another open door
built by a nail

to where ever you are

or are you there
alone
alone in the dark

fearful
or just keeping your distance
your silence
your mask

and I
I, haven't changed
just as clueless
something to do-less

until the signs
the messages bring
begin again
or truth comes out

from my veiled lover
my veiled friend

The poem lost focus in the beginning, but overall was a fun piece to read.  I enjoyed reading it alot.
