.

Neck deep
In debts kids
And diseases

You think
Against facts
That mister right
Is merely caught
Not turning back
In traffic on his way

Even now though vaguely
You can remember him
The man who wasn’t
Worth mentioning
When all you needed
For the best of times
Fit coyly in a pair of jeans

So more bills will arrive
In the morning's mail
There’s clothes for school
The car’s burning oil
It’s hard to be hot
On minimum wage

Or just enough
To keep the bank content
Flirting now as well
With permanent overdraft
While you wait for someone
Without a name

Yo John,

This is all very good, and true.  I like it.

As my Dad would say "there is no such thing as enough money"

Ironically, I gues.

what a remarkably true and cool write...I wonder if my bank could start offering what you describe here:

"Flirting now as well
With permanent overdraft"

A perfect description of so many these days.
