Listening to every heart

Variety

I know now where it comes from,
(shh, I have heard voices)

of that and this fragment of fr/ac/tion,

for her eyes were always
staring ahead, pondering some
phantasmal thoughts within green
iris tempests

internal mysteries one could only
guess at, and
as a child watching,
one knew better
not to ask
hoping mama was in no
extreme pain from the hopeful history.

It never scarred nor scared me
though mayhap I knew I would

ephemerally inhabit its embodiment
though mayhap not its source
at least, in that time.

She had her own banshees
to deal with, melodic interludes
aside, dreams pianissimo

hiding as she was
in a family Germanic by marriage and

Cherokee by relation but
by blood, one only guesses.

After all, what does one do with a

Heinz 57?

I only hope he knew my love for him.

I'm quite familiar with the Heinz 57 variety of commonplace. Love. Four-letter word for pain and troublesome times, especially in this fast-paced world we now live in.

I hope also that he knew your love for him.

Jerry, Margherita, Lori...

Thank you. It can be surprising to one's self when something from the past jumps
out at you.
