While you’re playing with the sand

Making fantasy castles, creating

The perfect princess and prince charming

The happily ever after to your life, waiting

For the enchanted godmother, to come pass her wand

Over your wishes, maybe it will come

I see you in the distance remembering you once

As I leave to be in search, to find out

To make waves in the water, to wonder what’s under all that

Excavating so deep, to my surprise I find

Another world that was lost and forgotten about

My Atlantis I’ve formed and created but destroyed with my thoughts

Making waves, reviving what was once

Snap, snap back into reality

You play in the sand, and I run off

Making waves so high hoping it will snap me back

Reality, stand up and over the sand

If only life was a beach but it’s not

The waves call me by name, so there I go

Off am gone

The old me, to unite with what I’m hoping to be

Seek and you shall find.

When early morning quietness seeps into my being
it's like I'm being hugged by everything good in the world.—August 16, 2010

Being a seaside woman, I love the analogies,
the cleansing,  and pure simple beauty that your poem conveys.

The ocean waves are healing indeed.

I like to explore, but I tend to leave a trail of bread crumbs ...
