People from Iran
Arabic peoples
I was a little a member of you
These days of February,
I was a member of you
2 weeks, 2 days or 2 minutes,
The time when through your lives
The freedom gives its first cry.

The film-makers who are jailed
The brothers of the world are,
They spoke about mountains
As if they were their children.

Now the mountain to be climbed
Freedom is called.

I drink wines of Iran
When they were made
With the grapes of the liberty,

I read the books of the world
When they rouse and lift up themselves
As the wind of the desert.

The tyrants

The tyrants
Are not sovereign any more.

People from Iran
Arabic peoples
You make drunk the world
With the most beautiful wines.

The freedom flows into our glasses.

yann,

You take me places with your poetry and I ride on the emotions of your words.

Yann, this is beautiful in every possible way – firstly the universal value of humankind described in so many different cultures - namaste, ubuntu (I am because you are), the three musketeer’s all for one and one for all, and so many more – and secondly in that it proclaims the lovely person whom you are - and thirdly in your words and images.  I particularly love:

I was a little member of you

and

They spoke about mountains
As if they were their children

and

Wines . . . made . . . with the grapes of the liberty

and

The freedom flows into our glasses

and

the whole of the rest of the poem!

This is lovely, Yann.

Very lovely, indeed!  This is a finely penned poem so beautifully expressed, Yann.

There must be a poem in here somewhere.
