She bled for hours
Before the storm came
The courage of the town left at bay
The town sovereign for their sins

I took my watch and placed it on her skin
For time was the only thing
I could keep alive along with her body

She was so eloquent in her pale face
Her red lipstick
Like the red droves of dresses
That came rushing to her body

Another life gone,
another one enters
a fresh born baby
just along the townÕs eerie night

A baby,
Her name was Sarah
Sarah with her motherÕs skin.

i got chills reading your poem...a sad and nicely penned piece...
