Poem written for my wife that passed away many years ago. We can be romantic girls, you know we can! I Love You Like I love you like I love memories of the peaceful times. Like sunny days and lemonade secret gifts that Grandma gave, cotton candy and ferris wheels time alone when dreams seem real. I love you like I love morning dew on fields of grain dawning sun through window panes, cool clear lakes and boating trips mother's favourite Sunday dish. I love you like I love delicate taste of the finest wine. Like the laughing thrill of bumper cars sleeping out under the stars, singing songs on New Years eve listening to the roaring sea. I love you like I love walking in a misty rain the lonely call of a distant train, the warming rush of London Gin the fire's glow when we're snowed in. I love you like I love the mystic call of a morning Loon. And whisper talk on winds that moan fire flies that chirp and glow, roosters posed on weathervanes Autumn leaves on country lanes. I love you like I love family days at county fairs circus clowns with crazy hair, budding trees in early spring the bubbling talk of mountain streams. I love you for the quiet way you steal my day and the love we share I can't explain. Eric |

ditto...your wife was indeed a lucky lady to have inspired such a beautiful poem...nothing beats a great love poem...need i say more? There must be a poem in here somewhere. |
