It has been said mixing meters is wrong
and yet I still must attempt to
The challenge is just to much I'm afraid
unless you make rules exempt you.

Such is this curse as George Carlin explained
it drives one to try some new trick
as "Those who dance are considered insane
by those who don't hear the music"

Walkin' to the beat of different drummer will get you a half bubble off plumb, one taco shy of a combination plate, one brick shy of a full load....

Meter mixing/synchopated steps... you just might choreograph the dance of a lifetime. *S*

Oh, I've heard the music as the search for the big box of yore did once atest
But you're as nutty as a fruit cake, which is what makes your writing the best

Good to see you out and about my friend.
Peace!

Meters?

If there are 3.2808 ft in a meter,
how many toes are in a foot?
And, do feet stink
if no one is there to smell them?

Pray for me...
I knew I was close to the edge, but my, oh my, I didn't know that my hindsight was sharper than my foresight...

I forgot what Bullwinkle always says:
"Go, Go, Go for cheerios, but watch where you're going!"

Alison,
Thanks lol, dance away!
Doc

JL,
Thanks, lol, now you're starting to ask the really important questions, and don't let Balladeer dissuade you, there's nothing "dark" about the side I'm on, unless laughter is "bad" in which case we're all doomed.
Doc

Balladeer,
Are we casting aspersions again? I had expected more from you, like maybe a critique of the mix, oh well. Lol, thanks anyway.
Doc

Sunshine,
Thanks , part of the reason I enjoy playing to a small audience, lol. Ron would probably have me quarantined if I started to spread.
Doc

James,
Thanks, seriously, this was not easy. In one of our conversations Balladeer proposed
that one could mix meters at the start of a line, or, at the end of a line, but, never in the middle without losing the reader. This , of course I took as a personal challange ( go figure, lol). I maintain one can do almost anything and still have the reader follow if a strong enough pattern is established with every accent ( stress ) hitting dead on. Personally, I think this one works, but hey, maybe that's just me.
