With the wayback machine still on loan from "Doc P",
once again I'll attempt to re-write history.
What we think that we "know" isn't always the case,
so todays' episode will be all about face.

Way, way back in the day men were mostly hirsute,
as they hunted and gathered for critters and fruit,
'till arrived on the scene my ancestor whose flair,
shall we say was tres cool, funky, hip, debonair?

Well he opened a place, a "tonsorial shop"
and proceeded to hack, and to cut, and to chop.
He trepanned a few skulls, and he leeched a few arms
and came up with the phrase " Above all do no harm."

Then one day he just up and decided to sell
'cause trepanning didn't work, and well leeches, they smell.
Wanting quick to get out of "Tonsorial hell"
he called it "Barbershop" as the history books tell.

But perhaps the best part of this great legacy
can be seen 'twixt the mouth and the nose, for you see,
my ancestor "The Doc" had such style and panache
to this day we still sport what is called a "moostache!"

that is not fair...I was in a public wi-fi hotspot when I read this...it is not fair to have me laughing out loud with no explanation (I'm well-respected seriously there...or well-respected for being serious...or something)...now I will have to either find a new hotspot or smile more often...can't imagine the latter now that I have laughed out loud...

...fantastic write

steavenr,
Thank you so much, as Lori pointed out, when your intent is to entertain, there can be no finer compliment than the spontanious
reaction, this is what I strive for.

Doc

Lori,
Thank you so much, you are of course entirely correct. To elicit a gut response wherein people react to what you have written with any emotion is what, as writers, we strive for. Myself, I believe, extra points should be awarded for making people laugh.

Doc

Doc's Angel,
( Hope you don't mind the abbreviation. )
So glad you enjoyed, laughter can be the best medicine, I bring my meager talents to the table, and hope for the best.

That's what we need now and then-a little touch of humor.
