Fair to middlin' of nowhere

I
Demanding
Constantly curious
Of whims and fancy
I dress up in mother clothes
And dance a parody
‘round reality
I slip out of shoes
That never really fit
And wiggle bare toes
In the muck
A playground sky
Scattered with clouds
Toys for my imagination
Sweet breezes caress
Tender nodding from the trees
They bounce shadows
On a lonely wall
Making faces
Making friends
Out of thin air
And silence

Very beautiful, but lonely-sad.
