She flys by sultry
as an egyptian queen
catching us by surprise
her two-tone colored wings
fluttering as she
lightly touches down
upon the lantana bush
gracing it with all
of her radiant beauty
as she brings with her
the early signs of spring
into the dawn
of its first day
at last she comes
the precious butterfly
to help us welcome spring

This is beautifully written. I love watching the butterflies flitter around in spring. I just loved the imagery in this piece.

Uh, beautiful image of spring. You're trying to hurry it up a bit, I think. Haha

Thanks for the warm thoughts of spring in the middle of this snow and ice...I enjoyed the respite.

it is a good thing to think of warmth on a cold, wintry day...it is better to see the butterfly...thank you for permitting us to do so
