All summer,
In the distant, Arctic wilds of Alaska,
Windswept, alpine glaciers
Have been weeping tears of longing for next Winter.
But soon it will be cold enough for snow again,
And glaciers, they will weep no longer.
Even now,
Snowflakes dance with brilliant sunbeams in the Arctic sky,
As though each were trying to impress the other
With its shine.
But Alison knows more of this than I,
So maybe I’ll shut up.
:-------snowflakes in the sky-------)

This is but a figment of Dadygoose’s imatination.

Just lovely, dear Jaime!

To imagine snowflakes dancing brings a touch of coolness into this hot afternoon.

I don't even need cold ... just cooler...than these constant 100's-plus!

Enjoyed,

Yes, Jaime, it is often that we yearn
for what we don't have when the time
of extremes is upon us.

Well done, my friend.

Ah, a feel-good poem to ease our thoughts of the sweltering summer-time blues . . .

Jaime,

You nailed this one.  It is incredibly beautiful.  I am so glad that I went back to find what I have missed while I was gone.  You may be seeing the glaciers in yoru imagination - or maybe they are visiting you when you dream.  Beautiful, my friend.  Just beautiful.
