POETRY

It is here that I sit alone, alone, alone,
surrounded, yet, left alone,
with my poetry hugging to me,
comforting me, soothing me,
never leaving me alone, alone, alone.

Like a gentle lover whose soothing
voice settles my nervous beating heart,
it soothes my mind leading me to calm waters.
I feel it's hand stroke up my back, firm fingers,
down again. It rubs my shoulders to ease the tension
of once again being alone, alone, alone.
E.M.L.

Ms. e,  Indeed, poetry can be the greatest of friends.  It's always there and waiting to share something new with you.

Poetry is many things to many people, of course, to me it helped me vent my rage at my wasted life. I have since calmed down, forgiven myself, and looked toward the future.

Poetry -  is that which speaks when yourself cannot do so;
that pride that steps beyond itself and says that which it was too proud to voice;
poetry is the cry of a tortured soul that otherwise would never be heard;
a lover's lament;
a friend when no one else is;
expression of all the things that go round and round;
the pain that tortures;
the crying that drowns;
the love that all but explodes from the inside out.

Poetry is love at it's finest - the grand release, God unfettering our stifled minds.

Poetry is His gift,
of Freedom.

Enjoyed the read,
