A vessel empty, devoid of though,

nothing gained, nothing sought.

Drained of happiness, without a care.

Except from sadness, except from dis pare.

Never distraught, forever sublime;

completely enthralled by the ravages of time.

Always alone, but oblivious throughout,

never suffering the pangs of  doubt.

Empty, alone, without and within;

never a beginning, never an end.

To lead such a life, weary to the bone;

drained of all relevance, unable to condone.

Never to reach out, except, to embrace pain,

ravaged by anguish again and again.

Flails still falling, souls shredded now;

always keep going, not comprehending how.

Devoid of all or work to transcend,

a life to destroy or a life to defend.

To drift within, or tangle without;

silently screaming, full of doubt.

Trembling visibly, coursing with fire;

sinking seductively, drowning in desire.

Languishing in dissolution, gasping for air;

trying to keep moving, why even care.

From beginning to end, learning to cope;

lashing out blindly, hoping against hope!

I think we all have felt this way at some point in our lives.

well it seemed to be a way of life for me, then something changed. I wonder what that was.
