Wanting No Part of A Broken Heart

What if your sweetheart
didn't love you
as she proclaimed.

What if she was only
a sweetheart in name.

What if she took you
for everything
she could gain.

Could you stand
the truth.

Would you bear
the pain.

being used, abused and discarded is never a nice thing. Despite how other treat us we must get up and keep moving. Survival is the basest of instincts and even if we are empty inside and move in automation eventually we do start to live again.
