I just want to hold you, but you’re nowhere near my arms
A thousand miles away resides your sweetness and your charms
And though I see you nightly through a camera on the web
I’d still much rather see you under blankets in my bed

I just want to hold you, cuddle up into the nook
Allow myself to touch your face instead of just to look
I know that this will happen daily in a month or so
But time stops when you miss someone… a month will go so slow!

I just want to hold you, but my dear, you’re worth the wait
I’ll settle for your presence over thirty more Skype dates!
But be assured that when you’re finally wrapped in my embrace,
I’ll kiss you, hug you, squeeze so hard, you’ll turn blue in the face! :-P

I don't think he will misrepresent this poem for what it is. Beautifully constructed and heartfelt are the words you chose so carefully. May they all come true sooner than even you expect.

Ohhhhhhhhhh Amber.
Your holographic skype image falls out of the screne tumbling helter skelter into my arms.  Well, okay ... I know it isn't for me it
's for everybody, But the ilusion and fantasy are so compelling that it seems as if ... ... ....
This shows me in a very convincing and personal way how someone could desire me and want to hold and be held by me.  Even if there isn't anybody here just now.
I really really thank you for the peek into your thoughts.
I'm not sure how Dkype works or who talks on it, or anything.  Is it fun? Like the person is almost right there with you?
Laughter,

Amber.
This is very powerful. Your imaginary holographic image tumbles off the screen and into my arms. Okay ... I know it's really for everybody, but the ilusion is so compelling and the fantasy so vivid that, really ... It shows me in a very powerful and personal way how someone may want to hold and be held by me.
Your poem is like a magic well where you are always with me in a personal way each time that I read it.  magically giving and giving every time I feel the need to be held and loved.
Thank you for the peek deep into your personal thoughts.
You couldn't do this better even if you where actually here in person.  That is the magic of art.
Is Skype something like talking on the phone?  Is it fun?  Don't know who talks on it ... or anything?

We have so many ways to keep in touch... but none of them ease the longing for the touch to be real! *S* Beautiful write of longing!

An absolutely wonderful piece.
