I've found something at the end of my run,
It's never too late to get something done.
Life is a hazardous, hard one-way street,
Better to live worthy than with conceit.

Matters not a whit what paths you will take,
Even if sometime you must put on the brakes.
Believe in you; never too late for change,
You can be who you are, even be strange.

During my years here on earth I have found,
You're your own worst enemy pound for pound.
But I know this and I know it so well,
You can be happy even in a cell.

Bars, real and imagined, keep you confined,
The trick is how you deal with it in your mind.
It's never too late to be who you want,
A scholar or a trashman from Vermont.

My life has come full circle, this I know,
Been down so deep; a character of Poe's.
I have flaunted life almost every time,
At times that mountain seemed to0 hard to climb.

I tell you this; you don't have to stay down,
Happiness is winning the Triple Crown.
But it's up to you, and lots of luck too,
But don't wait on luck for what you are due.

Look to yourself, find the grit and commence,
Whether love, inner peace, or picket fence,
You can be exceptional, I know you can,
You just have to stay with your own game plan.

Thoughtful words, "stay with your own game plan and give it your 100%". Very true, Jerry.

Thank you, Prasad, staying true to the game plan is the problem sometimes.

Yes, "M" it really does. Thank you so much.

Appreciate it DP.

Hello, yann, thank you for your kind words.

I have a feeling you've got your game plan well under way, Lori. Thanks for being here.

So much of our life is wasted or spent unwisely before we realize what it's really all about. There's great wisdom in your poem Jerry. I hope everyone reads it.

I agree, Marcia, about wasted lives. Most of us have to get through our "rebelling" period because we take life seriously. Some, like me, rebel much longer than they should.

Thank you for being here,

You've made me realize the error of my ways... I've never been good at games! LOL But I'm muddling through and tend to be kinder to the muddler than I once was... I guess that's progress? *S* Enjoyed the read!

Wow... you stunned me with this one Jerry.  To say I can relate would be a huge understatement.

Yup... that's me!

Great work, and very inspiring as well.

Thank you, Michael, I was positive I comment on your comment earlier, but I guess not, which is strange. It's strange because I remember reading what you wrote, and every time I read someone comment I immediately write back to them, always, without fail.
