Monet's Summer flowers in his garden at Giverny.

Risen from depths of the year, sweet summer
Flowers maturing, plump-pregnant with seeds;
Quick pass the showers, lightning and drummer
Risen from depths of the year, sweet summer.
Spring is retired, embracing  deep slumber,
Moonlight, and warm-nights, fill lovers needs.
Risen from depths of the year, sweet summer;
Flowers maturing, plump-pregnant with seeds.

Absolutely delightful, dear Ford. A joy to read and to experience, I can almost feel summer's breeze carrying the luscious fragrance of nature in full bloom.

Beautifully done. And the picture: that's how the Master got inspired!

Love,

What a feast for the eyes, the virtual nose, the heart and spirit - both the poem and the photo, Ford!  Monet is one of my very favourite impressionists - and you are one of my favourite poets!

OMG......
Ford, you do NOT want to know what I dreamed
last night; for when I related it to my spouse, he was
sure I was "out there" in la-la land....

but this SO speaks to the dream I had, and judging from the time
you posted it? I swear there's a whole lot of esp going on!

Hugs to you for sending dreams!

Thanks everyone for the nice replies..... :-)
Summer is flower time for me, more than most, as a good part of my wages are paid simply because they are beautiful.
But their beauty is more that an on paper value to me. I love them, beyond money.

Karilea...
I don't want to really know what your dream was about..I will let my imagination ponder it, and what I am pondering is pretty hot.....lol

Karilea dreamed that she was "plump-pregnant with seeds"??

Very nice, sir...not a form easily pulled off and yet you did so admirably. Good work...

Perfectly done. You took what was there for the taking, the seeds, the nurturing rain, the happiness of flowers straining toward the sun, and you did it all in perfect form.
