Clouds are gone,
A sunny day waits outside,
Days are long
And too hot,
But the heat I can abide,
Cold forgot
Where’s the chill
Where’s the cool dark that I crave,
Gone until
The sun goes
Back into its nightly grave,
No wind blows
It’s sweltering hot outside.

It's thanks to the Light/sunlight that you are still able to enjoy your darkness
But the sun doesn't allow us to look at it in the blue sky, only the far away suns/stars give us this pleasure in the night ...

And what a pleasure it is! You are right.
Enjoyed your poem.

Love,
Margherita
