Lost Souls Of Yesterday
By Paul Wilson

I touched tomorrow
but drew back
in fear

Was it
yesterday
or maybe last year

Darkness all around
mind burning… yearning
hoping you would appear

Moon spinning…spinning
grinning
as it kissed the sun

Tomorrow… tomorrow
where have you gone
yesterday has come undone

Stars fly thru outstretched hands
towards tomorrow or
back to where time begun

All the pods are dry
no seeds within
gardens of stone we tend

Yesterday…yesterday
Where have you gone
too the future we ascend

Who shall reach out
touch tomorrow
visions we can’t comprehend

Sun and Moon embrace
once more
as fear overtakes my mind

Yesterday is gone
tomorrow may never be
to my search I am resigned

Searching for my soul
on this journey thru space
wondering what I will find

Thru space and time are the portals of illusions that you can almost touch ... but like u said draw back in fear.... for to touch it woudl be more than we could bear!!!

May no soul be ever lost, dear Paul. Fear not, said Jesus, I am with you til the end of time. Trust is better than fear, but the mystery is so overwhelmingly big ...

You have written a great poem here, dear Paul. I love it.

Love,
Margherita
