.

So all
The wars are over
And you’re still here

Those and that
As sought to take your life
Or at the very least diminish it
Have finally disappeared

And now you stand
Beneath another sky

A whole new day
Full of unexpected possibility
Wondering what to do

The air is cool
And the sun is out

Breathing’s good
Let’s just start with that
And let it go from there

.

Eh, that does sound like a good place to start, my friend. The wars are over. Another good reason to start. Enjoyed this.

Recovering from war or warlike persecutions both given and taken, such as not being able to trust most others, being ganged up on and physically harmed, loved ones harmed, etc., is tough, but it is possible under good enough circumstances.

As long as the advice to breathe is for the wonder of it, and not a transparent attempt to quell the psychologist's own unworthy fears. Another well-written poem you have offered, thanks.
