Sharing our shadows
born on the roadside

you were lanky in
violet with tri-colored
leaves, forming a curvature
lined with black
pencil

I was bright as magenta
teal on my blossoms
my stem bending over

in the circus of cornfields
the puddle stands still
waiting for cloud collapse
to bring forth the harvest

so we danced from afar

you in your blues
me in pink taffeta
longing for waterfalls
to merge in the sky's
release

under the sun
on the bridge of
the rain

as we worshipped
the stars

my neighbor
my wildflower.

Ingenuous writing here, EmmaRose. A lot of great wordplay. I could never write anything such as this.

~ 24 hours in a day ... 24 beers in a case .... Coincidence? ~

Wonderfully creative, dear EmmaRose. Thirst is tangible.
