RHAPSODY IN D MAJOR
5 May 2011

Silver moonlit pathway,
flowing through the heart
of a breathing, mystical forest,
dark branch arms arching over
a liquid golden vixen
on her way home
to her foxhole.

Beautiful. We have foxes where we live and they are a delight to watch.

This lovely poem could be metaphrical for many things. Its beauty is in its careful choice of words and brevity of composition resulting in a tightly woven tapestry of poetic beauty.

May your gifted pen never run dry dear Owl.

Thank you, Dreamgal.  I am glad you enjoyed it.

Oh, Lori, that must be wonderful.  Thank you for reading and telling me about your beautiful and shy creature neighbours.

Thank you, Marcia, Word Weaver par excellence.  I am honoured by your exquisite multiple compliments.
