It starts off with Hannah
Yes, Hannah- patient,
smiley and sweet
but don't let that fool you
she is quite the "drama queen"
on to HerisJoe
with the interesting name
the exact opposite of Hannah
always the prankster who
loses his cool, but he'd never
let anyone hurt his mommy
then on to Victoria
the loud and funky- girly tomboy
you'd never notice her tender heart
whilst she plays ball and looks for bugs
lets not forget Ryan and Bryan
Ryan, who'd argue with a brick wall
if he though it was wrong
the leader if you will
also the animal lover
and Bryan, the peace maker
always helpful and smiling
but beware, his patience has limits
and his temper, is quite something
next is Tairena,
she needs not your attitude
hers alone is enough
but she'd cry right next to you
when you're suffering or in pain
theres Reno
or "Reno boy" as he prefers
I swear he has enough energy
to power up the world
always running and jumping
our "energizer bunny"
theres Bandasar
father's brother's son
he lives with us now
and we love him so
theres J.J - Joshua Jacob
with golden locks that curl
born two months too early
with such a tenacious will
finally theres Reena
with her lovely smile
and pretty curls, my little "Pookie"
who absolutely adores books
My precious babies
whos "booboos" I've healed
with kisses and hugs
exquisite children
which I love and cherish
I've watched them grow
and helped them along
first steps and first words
birthday parties,
stayed with them when
they were "under the weather"
while mommy and daddy
were quite busy at work
Now, truth be told
I didn't "do the deed"
or even "hatched the egg"
but they are as much mine
and they are their mom's and dad's

----------------------
on a side note:
I don't actually have any biological kids, but these are the kids I took care of, some from birth, others along the way, but I truly feel like they are apart of me. When they're hurt, I feel their pain. When they're sick, I care for them. Usually while their mommys and daddys are at work. I've lived under the same roof (at some point in time) as all the children listed in this piece. Theres a closeness, a togetherness in my family, one that I cherish.
Hannah- Sibling
Herisjoe- Sibling
Victoria- Niece
Ryan and Bryan- Nephews
Tairena- God-daughter
Reno- God-son
Bandasar- Cousin turned Brother (its complicated ha.)
J.J- Nephew
Reena- God-daughter

Thanx, truly....for making it all the way down here.

What a wonderful expression of love, Trina. I was wondering what was going on, thinking at first this was the resurrection of some sixties' communal experiment, but as I kept reading I had it figured out by the time you decided to explain yo'self. Family. Wonderful.

Oh how much I enjoyed this. As a mother of six I was just reading along and thinking "this does not fit my impression of Trina". I finished and smiled because along the way I too took care of neighbor’s children, and later my grandchildren. It is amazing how much a neighbor's child or a child in school where I once volunteered and even some of the Sunday school kids I taught many years ago, or  the young cub scouts I supervised, all grab hold  of a notch in the heart and stay forever. Yes, I really did enjoy this and the explanation gave me a nice picture of you as the nurturer.
Thank you, latearrival

Trina

This is just simply a wonderful render of your fine heart and good character.
Really superb!
I bet they're all beautiful too.

I began to wonder how a young thing like you could have that many children...

You're a blessing to them!

Beautiful...touching and sweet, I`m so glad you have such great capacity for love! Some find it difficult to `love` any children but their own..=(  I am sure you have blessed their lives as much as they have yours. Family is such a gift, isn`t it?
