TENNIS BALL
16 April 2011

The tennis ball goes back and forth.
Though eyes follow it,
nobody sees it (really),
nor ponders its thoughts,
its pain, its aspirations,
its desire for freedom,
its dreams . . .

Great analogy. As a tennis playear since my teens the title grabbed at me. I'm sure glad it did.

This could be a metaphor for many things. Nicely done, Owl.

Thanks, Jerry.  Yes, it could be - but actually it literally is about a tennis ball.

Thank you, Bruce.  I am glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you, Jimmy.  I don’t mind at all that you found it funny, but it isn’t meant to be.  Smiles.

When I was young I had a pillow named George. For some reason this poem made me think of ol' George.
