Love Lullabies
by Linda L. Dowd

I listen to love lullabies,
carried gently on a jasmine breeze.
Their whisperings of a forever spring,
sing softly thru’ swaying trees
As willows bend in blowing wind,
I sway with graceful motions,
With a trusting soul, as spirit bells toll,
I sense all of love’s emotions.
As spirit calls your name on breeze,
the whisperings bring me bliss.
~ For you'll be mine to far reaches of time,
from the moment of our first kiss.
Honour me, as I will you,
speak forever from a faithful heart.
Hold dear our love, and keep it pure,
lest we ever be torn apart.
I listen to love lullabies,
carried gently on a jasmine breeze.
Their whisperings of a forever spring,
sing softly thru' swaying trees.

~

Love is the unifying force which integrates
one’s soul with that of another.

As usual I was so happy to hear your voice, so soothing. And your words to it so beautiful. Thanks for sharing this.

...there is such a timeless beauty to these words...a pleasure to read & yes, to listen

Lilly(my cat) and I are sitting on the couch, both mesmerized by the lightness of touch that fills our senses via the sounds of your lovely poetry set to music. I think she has been lulled into dreamland, eyes closed, sun streaming through the window.

This is fantastic, in fact, if I were going to be married anytime soon I would ask if I could have this poem recited just before the "I do's." I did not listen to the reciting of the poem, because basically I don't care for music to interfere with the words of the poetry, which, in my case, it always does. This poem makes it own music, and it is beautiful.

Ahhhh, dear Linda Angelo Terrestre, here we have pure beauty, elegance, wisdom, romance, that nurture the heart and soul. And the tender sound of your voice makes this write simply perfect.

Love and hugs. I am so happy for your presence, you are a fantastic multitalent!

Oh darling girl, I absolutely adore your romantic poetry.
