slip away silently
soft-sink 'neath sunset's sullen shadow
cast along horizon's end zone
into the realm of themes forgotten

slip away softly
silent-shed the rush of rhymes remembered
hurled to the regions of pleasant parlays
along the shores of sonnets sung

slip away serenely
sure-shed sentiments of tethered testings
thrown to the winds of longings lengthened
upon the sands of a future forlorn

slip away, slip away, slip away
so sweet, so safe, so still

A wonderful meditative poem, dear Steaven.

Just after my heart, as I do slip away every now and then into the "gap".

Love,
Margherita

Aye. And slipping away to a time other than now is a pleasurable affair to be sure. Sometimes we may blur parts of the slipping away, and sometimes we may make the ordinary intense, but it is our time to do what we do best, and that is to slip away. Enjoyed the hell outta this 'un, steavenr,

Margherita, thank you for your kindness.  It  is appreciated from a kindred spirit.

Jerry, thank you for the high praise.  I am honored.

Spiros, thank you and if you saw that in it, then I have succeeded.

Ida, thank you.  I do appreciate your kind remarks.

Alison, thank you for noticing.  Sometimes I am swept away with certain poetic elements.  Alliteration is a favorite.

Hi, Steaven.  I guess if we didn't all slip away every now and again we'd end up in an insane asylum.  Really, really, a great write!

Helen, sometimes I wonder...is the insanity in not slipping away or in returning once we have...thank you for your keen & kind observations
