The children of my children
Have provided the relief
When grandma’s heart is burdened
With the heavy weight of grief

There’s something in a child
That is lost with time and age
As they display unknowingly
The wisdom of a sage

No learned man of medicine
No doctor of the mind
Could ever treat unrest of the
Most deep, disturbing kind

But every time, my sorrow seems
To dissipate once more
When little feet of happiness
Come prancing through my door

Ah, they bring alive the inner child for sure.  I keep mine ever present and therefore am ready to play at any time.  They are indeed little packages of happiness.

Lizzie - your email is broken AGAIN!  I can't send you an email. (Where there is a will, there's away.)

How true! I so agree! Children do have clarity of mind and wisdom as a natural gift, still unencumbered by life's bumpy roads.

A wonderful write, dear Elizabeth. This went down far too quickly, wish many more would read it.

Liz, that's why I enjoy teaching, and say that during the school year my best part of the day is when I am there~~

( since I don't have children of my own, although I have over 40 nieces and nephews and been an aunt since I was 12)

Lizzie, here I am again (thanks for the email) I was just reading this to "my girls" as they have no idea how much goodness they spread, or bring.

Isn't it the truth.  Inside can be in ashes, and they come and somehow put you all back together again, kinda like ole Humpty Dumpty.

As a grandmother and great grandmother, I couldn't agree more. You have have lovely way of saying what I so often think.

This tells the joy of being a grandparent so well.  The sweet innocense of a child is an unbeatable heartwarmer and cheerleader.

God bless,
Rae
