Bones is rough
and mean
as he can be.

He has this soft spot though,
for a kid in a wheelchair.

Bones sees that the kid
gets around.
Bones wheels him up
and down the street.

People in the playground
are beginning to talk,
wanting to know
what’s going on there.

Bones doesn’t care,
Bones is Bones,
and everyone else
had better believe it.

Bones
and his friend
in the wheel chair
don’t need to explain
themselves
to anyone.

Bobby

Thanks dear Kacy,

Happy Independence Day to you.

You're right, it is right.  The kids in this hood never cease to amaze me.

Thanks Poddarku,

I'm very happy that you feel that way about the poem.  Many people that have had Bones experiences feel deeply about other people.

Thank you for your kind words.

Thanks dear Shellie,

For reading and commenting.  Those two guys were out on the playground last night.  They get together fairly often.

Bones is awesome. Every kid in a wheel chair should have a friend like Bones.

Thanks dear Ida,

They have a good friendship.  It all involves talking.  Bones and the kid both need someone to talk to.

Thanks dear Arana,

Perhaps Bones will start some organization to do that.
