Bones and the hood
are inseparable.

In many ways Bones
defines the hood,
and in all ways,
the hood defines Bones.

The hood has made him
what he is,
and what he will ever be.

The hood is in Bones,
and always will be.

Bones is scarred for life.

Bobby

Thanks dear Shellie,

What you say is very true.  Bones has ended up with a very thick, but still sensitive skin.  You will be glad to know that Bones grew up very strong, and good, and of course, "way okay".

A scarred heart
Isn't a hard heart
For a bard's heart
Is often a scarred heart.

I wonder if Bones might try being a bard some day.

Thanks dear Arana,

For the nice poem, and for your question.

Yes, I think Bones might.

Bobby - wonder what would happen if Bones left the hood, would he be a better person, or not...

Thanks Bill,

For a question that is impossible to answer.

So much depends on the person, or the person's soul, or whatever.

let's remember that the Bones model that is still alive is doing just fine.

Your Bones series is immortal. Here you have brought a classic irony before us.

As they say, "You can take a guy out of the hood (Or is that "country"?) ~ but you can't take the hood out of the guy".

I had such a sad, sinking feeling when I read the last line.

"Bones is scarred for life."

Thanks dear Linda,

The hood is a wonderful place, filled with wonderful people.

However, bad things happen there.  Most people are scarred for life by something.  If they haven't been, then they haven't been around the block yet.

Love Bobby
