standing below the starry heavens,
this pen painted world with words;
sitting idly by gugling streams,
swam with fish, flew with birds.

this pen wrote of love, of passion,
this pen wrote of smiles and tears;
tinting the world with a different shade,
saw people's dreams, knew their fears.

quilled the hopes the heart cherished,
washed away the evil thoughts,
dreamt of a future, of an eartly heaven,
hoped to create an immortal quote.

but, all is dark now, stars put out-
and, i fear the pen is struggling for breath...
miles and miles are yet to be quilled,
why, oh! why, is it the time of death.....

I appreciate your melancholic ponderings ... just received a note from Neale Donald Walsch (daily messages) about death.

Want to share it with you:

quote:
On this day of your life, Margherita, I believe God wants you to know...
....that death does not exist. The soul lives forever and ever, and even forever more.
Has someone you know and loved died recently? Celebrate that person's Continuation Day! They have moved in Consciousness and Beingness to a place of wonderful renewal and remembering, where all that we have "forgotten" here is once more understood and experienced. It is a time of great happiness.
And know, too, that you will be seeing that beloved person again, and you will laugh and dance and sing and hug and smile and talk endlessly about "the good old days," and you will share an even larger kind of love than you could ever know upon the Earth, and all of both of your lives will suddenly make sense as you see how you shaped an important part of each other's Journey.And it will be a Blessing, this enhanced awareness, and you will abide in peace and joy.

Your pen dances beautifully, yes.

Love,
Margherita

Immortal quotes are the etching of your heart, and spoken, they engrave others.

I am very moved by your words, because of the glass that we "see through darkly."  However, Love never leaves us where it finds us, and Love is Life.

Peace.
(Margherita, Thank you for sharing the quote on life, for shedding light on a spiritual truth. )
