There you sit

there,
on the other side of the glass

and I,
I...

just a caress away

a simple move of your finger
a bend of your wrist
a click to where I am

in a symphony

no

closer to a requiem

and money...
I have

and freedom...

freedom to go

anywhere

but where I wish

where I wish
to be wanted

and no...

no place for me there
no heart for me there
where you are

and I
I...

the sad symphony
the lacrimosa of strings

choosing
choosing
where to go
but where I wish

I must go alone
so it seems...

to this man in a solitary symphony

a lacrimosa of strings
one day closer
to his requiem

Lacrimosa indeed. Sad, but your heart speaks its melancholy beautifully.

This is so taking my breath away, what a beautiful, bittersweet piece of poetry.

Nice...very!

Margherita: Yeah, I write sad well, usually my best writing, I think, usually

Blues: I REALLY like the excerpt you pulled out by itself. I think it stands alone beautifully, perhaps along with the top few lines. I may consider that in an editing decision later down the road. You have a great eye, thanks for pointing that out.

I am not a blues lover but you did this beautifully. I enjoyed  the sadness the way you wrote it. latearrival.

love the poem, some despair but quite powerful verses.
