She is an enigma to everyone A dark cloud under the sun Shadows are more easily held And ghosts are more often felt Than her whom I begin to deem Is maybe nothing but a dream She is a question upon my lips Breathed in low, moaning sips As I experience the unreal Yet how is it that I can feel Her in all my waking thoughts And not the sleep for so long fought She is the voice inside my head The tug on soul upon which I’m led Like a fish in the proverbial net Ensnared, but far from death yet Her in my mind I can plainly see Though she remains always, a mystery |

I was just commenting to another poet today that I wonder how much of what we see in someone else is projected from the face (truth) we carry inside ourselves. Sometimes, it's a mystery, too, which only unfolds with experience and the love which is the catalyst to manifest it. When carried inside that way, however they arrive, it is midst profound wonder. You write it beautifully. |

I like this very much. The rhyming sounds natural and not forced and its easy to get a picture in my head of the girl you are talking about. Or at least the kind of girl, not necessarily what she looks like. Lol. Very nicely written. Keep up the good work. ~Dreamer05~ |
