Oh Nightengale of sweetest wail,
songbird of the moonlight.
Sing to me sweet memories of
ocean breezes flowing over me,
free as wind spirits must forever be,
moving in seductive reverie.

Release an amber flow of moon favors.
Cast aside doubts a riotous rainbow
bursts brilliantly in abandonment
into the dark recessed moments of midnite.
Shower the expansive sky serendipitously
in exuberant joyful harmony.

Without hesitation or reservation,
accept that all Life is precious,
even when its ugly side is revealed
it is to cherish, hold onto tightly.
But do not fear sailing into sunset,
knowing Life was worth every moment.

I am especially fond of:

“Nightengale  …
  songbird of … moonlight”

and:

“Without hesitation or reservation,
accept that all Life is precious(!)”

[sadly, grasping that seems to be one of the
human species greatest points of dismal
  ineptitude]

applause for this 'penning' !

Each and every line of your poignantly beautiful poem, bids entrance into the heart of this sensitive reader.

Oh, the wail of a nightingale ... die Nachtigall, an unforgettable sound for sure.

Thank you, dear Kacy, for sharing your love for life. You are the inspiration.

Love and hugs.

A beautiful poem that reflects the beautiful heart of its author.

I love the the pairing of these two words together.

" seductive reverie "

If fact you have inspired me to write a poem with these two words as the title.

Thank you

K......you have such a beautiful outlook on life!  I especially liked:
"Without hesitation or reservation,
accept that all Life is precious,
even when its ugly side is revealed
it is to cherish, hold onto tightly.
But do not fear sailing into sunset,
knowing Life was worth every moment."
Many hugs and blessings.......jo

Thanking each of you for your time and thoughts on this Summer Solstice Day.
A few fireflies flickered last night in the garden while an elusive resident toad hopped around from stone to stone. Chippie the chipmunk scurried around in his racing stripes looking for a late night snack. Clouds covered the moon and stars, but it was still an enjoyable summer's eve.

Kacy, this is beautiful, my brave, wonderful friend!  It was our winter solistice here yesterday, so this was particularly welcoming.  I giggled happily at Chippie in his darling little racing stripes, and listened in delight to your toady friend's deep musical qwaarck.  Please give them both my love.

Love (to you too!)

Hey Kacy...GREAT message, presented beautifully.
Brings to mind the song, Livin' La Vida Loca. Ok, just kidding.

Summer solstice huh?

Hot as hell down here.

Yo Kacy,

This is a lovely poem, even though I don't know these birds.  I don't think we have them here in Port Richmond.

We do have Owls, which is pretty cool for a crowded hood.  I heard one this morning.

Love Bobby

Diana, solstice moments are special, marking changes that prople us forever forward. Chippie is only one of about a dozen of those little striped craetures that race around this neighborhood day and night.
CG, LOL, you are forgiven. I lived in the south for three years and remember 'dog days' all to well.
Bobby, owls are cool reminders that even in cities 'wild' creaures other than humans can be seen and heard.
