Watch the pride for our planet fade away
as it's stay declines faster by the day
How did we not see this coming?
It seems all we're doing is running

As the glaciers melt, the animals die
thoughts that could make anyone cry
We say we'll do something when it catches our eye
Then we forget, then we do nothing

The truth is we did see it coming, so why
why did we not stop, why did we not try?
Because we don't care, the future disregarded
The present is everything, so let's finish what we started

Watch as, the oil supply runs dry
Watch as, the forests continue to die
Watch as, we blacken out the sky
Watch as, we kiss the world goodbye

Wars are fought over nothing but oil
In denial we destroy our own soil
If it isn't our fault, what's with the defensive recoil?
The questions throw you towards inner turmoil

Watch the pride for our planet fade away
as it's state declines faster by the day
How did we not see this coming?
It seems all we're doing is running

As the glaciers melt, the animals die
thoughts that could make anyone cry
We say we'll do something when it catches our eye
Then we forget, then we do nothing

Welcome to Pip. Significant first entry. May indifference transform into active awareness.

Welcome to Passions, Barron.

It's good to see someone taking up the cause for a planet who can not speak for itself. I appreciated and enjoyed your thoughts in this.

Best wishes,
/Kit

A sad (yet well-written) commentary on the present state of Earth's natural affairs and mankind's apathy, in general.

Hi, there, Barron! Welcome aboard the Pip Ship as I affectionately call this home away from home!

Giving you a warm, welcoming pip hug,

Earth Angel
