Popped out for a smoke and the hot summer breeze blew him down to the corner pub
to order a yummy frozen fruity drink to cool a tepid tongue
across the patio two tempting trollops flipped their hair and a wisp of a smile
sitting uninterested, alone with the need for a date for a movie ticket on morrow's eve

He invisioned himself with one of the two torrid temptresses
that were more suited to a sleezy sticky theater
He thought, been there done that
that type of girl does not suit, nor satisfy

the melancholy clouds have cleared
the mind of this middle aged man
as the sunshine skies scorch

acceptance of circumstance
and the matter of facts
as they be
as they may

a wanderer
out of place
who shall wander
far from here

as merrily as a man might manage...

Nice slice of the reality of this aging man. "Melancholy has cleared his mind ...". A melancholic insight!
There are too many that make fools of themselves ..... i.e. our Berlusconi!

It's true, they don't don't satisfy.

He's a smart dude.

They were breaking each and every time I tried to speak.
