She was up
She was down
She was up
She collapsed

over
and out

She called up out of the blue
Surprise, she had tickets
and she decided to call...
you!

So happy
So excited

She was coming to get me
but, I should've picked her up

she barely ate
drank wine
got low
drank coffee

now, late for the show

and the pain hit
her joints

took a pill

couldn't type
couldn't talk

her messages
all a blur
some strange
Freudian
Murmurs

She was sad
She was apologetic

I felt lucky
and empathetic

I love her
but there's nothing I can do

When she won't let you in
but is still calling for you

She was up
She was down
She was over
and out

It was going to be special
We we're going to have fun
but by the time the night was over
She started calling me, "Hun"

:-)

Sounds like you are making progress.
Each day I search the list looking for poems that get few comments.
Today I am reading yours because everone need to be listened to.
You have an interesting poem.

That was some evening, wasn't it?! There is a fantastic rhythm in this poem and it is very vivid and even tragicomic.

Love,
Margherita

Bobbing boats aren't easy to board.
People can be equally difficult at times.

Such a wide array of comments. Islander, I should've been more clear or referenced that she was going to pick me up, but I should have, so she wouldn't have gotten out of balance and her health broke down.

I think we're getting closer, though she may feel like a failure because of her health. We will see what happens. Today is a new day and hopefully she is feeling better.

Thanks everyone.

gently she rolls

Oh Shell, I don't know about that... Only time will tell and as to the crux of the matter, I will write about that in a bit
