I Need Between it’s two o’clock in the morning and again a sleepless night August is restlessly muggy hot of cotton white twist and turns a dance so unpleasantly familiar I close my eyes unclenching thoughts but words intertwined in poetry leap of a day, a yesterday, a day away gathering up the ravel to weave I need, I need lace, not ropes over and over again I hear the words as if I didn’t know the difference between a want and a need it is just so unbearably sultry and all I can think of is a chill "I'm so hard to handle |

~ and what a time for our central air to go on the blink! July was pleasant where I live, but August is downright oppressively hot and humid!
