As I sit here wondering(once again)
with the pain of aging
continuing to throb inside this head,
"Is it all worth it?" I ask myself.

I battle the answers,
not out of depression
but out of the realization
that everything comes to an end,
at some point.

Too many ends for me,
too many losses
with not enough comforts.

The heat of these almost summer days
covering up with moisture
the tears of each yesterday,
in the now land of the lost.

very honest, real, effectively emotive 'write'!

[to which I can 'relate' all too well]:

" life has come and gone
  like a dream within a dream;
  I am the brittle tumbleweed
  trembling with the dawn "

much applause for this 'penning' !!

You have rendered your feelings so intensely, dear Maureen. I know this too. Sometimes I feel such a heavy grip on my heart and can hardly bear the deep melancholy. Then my only thought is to jump into the car and go for a ride, even though the destination I crave for is too far away ...
With school closed it becomes more difficult to get distracted, but sometimes a good book can be of help, when there is no one around to turn to.

Very sensitive write.

Love and hugs.

You know Maureen, I am on the same page, suddenly life seems so short.
I think back of days gone by and it's like it was yesterday.
Those days have become memories and yes, I wish for some of them back.
However I am in a better place now than I was then, so that is my saving grace and I cling to it.

Warm hugs to you this Sunday morning~

Yo dear nakdthoughts,

The one important thing to remember about time is that there is nothing that can be done about.  It just keeps marching on, so don't let it worry you.

My dear child, and you are a  child, of God, you need a hug. If no one is there to give you one then here is one from me.  I hope you and all who are feeling so down can find God in thier lives.  It realy helps

Maureen, I am sorry that your sadness is weighing so heavily on you.  I know you have lost many family members and that must be devastating.

I would love for you to read Kacy's latest poems, especially Sunrise, Sunset, and Waiting for Fireflies.  I am sure it will help.

Warm hugs
Owl

Aging sucks, but consider the alternative.

For me, I love the new experiences aging brings, just not the aches and pains.

I'm not sad, just  not feeling "up to par" and wanting a little bit of peace in my life...

Thank you for your caring words.
