where the wild flowers grow

0 posted 2009-08-02 12:44 PM

The bottom of this bottle
has a letter you never sent,
buried underneath the scent,
crawling toward the mouth of your silence.

Tonight, the moon hid callously behind the clouds,
uninviting and in a whispering growl denied me.

Stumbling in the doors of mourning,
of a loss, a piece of soul is tripping me,
there are holes
everywhere, gripping at my feet.

Your words melt, so solemn across the paper,
stained ever longing for rain to say
what it needs to say, but instead
it pours away
in murmurs misunderstood.

And much like me, the Earth has become
enraptured in the solitude and ache,
and the whispers take their way to the north,
and wonder when you'll realize that you
were my mistake..
so sorry to make,
to  create you only
to destroy any recollection or existence.

You are a ghost now, like an uprooted flower,
or a seed not planted, never to have been,
never wanted, or explained.
So quiet in the response you take nothing,
you are nothing,
but a dismissed thought
passed through letters in the breeze.

Powerful dismission, dear Kaoru. I am impressed as always by your talent.

Nothing that has been can be turned into non existant, but you are right it can be dismissed, especially after your acceptance of the implicit lesson. That and forgiveness dissolve the pain.

Hugs.

Just blow it all away
like dandelion feathers
airborne

You pen is mighty even
for the fallen ones
