Turning over
restless nights
if only I could sleep
as the rest seem to do

with ease
oh how the memories fill
too weary to wake
to restless to sleep

feeling alien
to this world
and the thoughts
of love's seed sown

in the hedges
and the brush
the rocks
and hard places

it all seems dry
no matter how many tears
moisten the ground
I continue to plant

faithfully
until
fertile soil
welcomes me

Very sad..and lack of sleep will do that to a  soul.

Enjoyed.

I know how those sleepless nights are. I have too many of those myself.
